Tonight I had a meeting with an old friend of mine. A Bible that Dave gave me on our 2nd wedding anniversary :)
It's always a blessing to look back for a bit and see what God was saying and doing in the past. So, I was looking back over the past 11 years!
I just want to share a few quick words that I read in the side notes, I had written. I may do this again sometime... I was SO blessed :)

I have stacks of diaries. Sometimes I pull one out and relive the past. I'm always amazed at the blessings and providence of God. He is SO GOOD and He is ever faithful. "We've come this far by faith, leaning on the Lord; Trusting in His Holy Word, He's never failed us yet. Oh, we won't turn back! He's never failed us yet!"
Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

This past fall I forgot my Bible at one of our local churches and had to wait a week or two to get my hands on it again. In the meantime, I pulled out one of my old Bibles to use and was soooooo blessed reading all of my side notes and remembering how God was working in my life during that time period! I LOVED IT. It made me want to start writing more notes in my current Bible, something I do very seldom any more. But what a blessing to go back later and be reminded of how good God has been through soooooo many things!
